Cooking and Crafting
Erik found a recipe for egg fried rice that he wanted to make for us for lunch. We decided to add chicken too. I helped him cook it. I was so good- thanks Erik. Then we worked on some projects we had started. Erik and Russ are making a pepakura sword from a video game they play. Pepakura is the Japanese word for papercraft. They are 3D sculptures you can even cover in fiberglass and sand and paint. We have seen amazing things on the internet made this way. It looks quite challenging. Good luck Boys!!

Missing Miss Snow
We lost our husky Snow two Julys ago, on her 4th birthday, July 1, 2009. The boys talk about her a lot, and she is always in our hearts. She was a beautiful girl with the most soulful dark brown eyes on any husky I have ever seen. We adopted from the shelter only one year before she left us. We wish we could have kept her longer. Today we went out to her grave under the pine trees to eat lunch and pull some weeds. We left her a pretty green squash/pumpkin that Leif picked out for fall.
Recess Fun
Although the boys are home schooled, they still are able to join friends in the area for just about whatever they want at the public schools in our town. Erik's activities aren't as easy to get pics. He goes to the middle school for band and the dances. Of course the camera is off limits at dances! Leif likes to participate in gym class and here he is at recess.
